My research is on the management and growth of owner-managed companies. I'm interested in the dynamic between the manager’s experience of ownership and the decision making process of the firm. Also I’m interested in the way management decisions as well as entrepreneurial capabilities are bound by sense making processes and the company’s perception of its surrounding environment.
As part of my work I’m very happy to do workshops and seminars for owner-managers and their advisors on both long-term strategic planning in the owner-managed company as well as the process of succession or exit. It is always an inspiration to experience the drive and determination of owner-managers.
The centre for Owner-Managed Businesses is funded by The Danish Industry Foundation. The centre offers research, long-term planning tools, executive education and training to strengthen Denmark’s many owner-managed businesses.
My research is on the management and growth of owner-managed companies. I'm interested in the dynamic between the manager’s experience of ownership and the decision making process of the firm. I focus on the process of succession, seeking to understand how choices of succession model are made, how succession is planned and what the consequences are for the management of the firm. My work is case based and aims at developing concrete tools for owner management in general and the process of succession in particular. In this I collaborate with a number of Danish owner-managed companies.
